This reminds me of some dude getting interviewed about how he watched some guy kill himself.
The guy kept jumping from a second story balcony, falling on his face, and getting up just to come back and do it again.
A crowd eventually formed and someone asked why he kept doing it.
"If I jump from a second story balcony instead of a 40 story one, then I'll have time think if I really want to kill myself."
And the dude says that after he jumped off probably the 40th time, he didn't get up.
And granted, this is from a game. But this is what it reminds me of.
