Update is a little late this week, because real life (.. andBattlestarGalacticaSHUTUP) got in the way a bit. But here it is, better late than never.Before anyone asks, this didn't actually happen... to me. I read some one's Livejournal post where they witnessed a woman actually said this to her daughter. And it annoyed me greatly. Because... DUDE. What the HELL.

I met the first guy I ever had a real crush on because he was reading Lord of the RIngs at age 12 and, at age 10, I started reading over his shoulder and thought it was fascinating.
Of course, he later turned into an abusive jackhole, but most guys I hang out with think my books are hot.

I know but most people with a brain don't do exactly what the bible says word for word. Most of it was written in a very for lack of a better word "Ignorent or isolated time" written in a dead language then translated by a group of clerics. Most of whom "twicked" the translations such as Mary Magdalene to suit their own personal goals of controlling people's faith. Mary Magdalen was declared the Whore who repented to jesus. When the phrase used to describe her can be translated as abandoned, lost, . Which could mean she left her husband, sold into slavery, widowed disinherited orphaned. Later when she followed Jesus and his apostles she paid for their expenses. The church didn't want the people to see her as an apostle (equal to Peter, or men in general) or make it seem a woman could support herself. So they branded her a whore/prostitute. The bible can be full of symbolic references to show how kind and great humanity can hope to be or it can be full of bloodshed,racism,and sexism. It just depends on which book in the bible your looking at and which translation you read.
