It's Maka alright in your OWN style. I think that's what's important. Creating your own style. nobody wants to end up copying another artist's style ne? Although we started from copying, eventually, we will strive to create our OWN style.

I don't see anything wrong with the pigtails. Except that the strands are split. >XD It's not a big deal, though. I find it awesome anyway.
.. I have MUCH difficulty myself drawing anime fanart .___. and they look nothing like the real characters. At least yours are instantly recognizable XD
