This came to mind since its been raining off and on these past days. Matt is visiting Tai (at summer school...eh I think Japanese kids have those) cause he was near by and plus to escort Tai home so he wouldn't get wet...only that it stops raining just as he gets there.

Japanese kids have summer school, but everyone attends, because summer vacation is only 3 or 4 weeks (in August).
The only equivalent to "summer school" (extra-curricular studying) is "juku," or "cram-school." School is year-round in Japan, save for the occassional seasonal vacations.
