SO. My buddy *booker has this webcomic thingummy called Skin Deep , that's all about monsters and mythology and music and snazzy things like that. AS WE'RE BUDS AND ALL, I've gone and created a few supporting cast members for her comic in my free time (only fair, as she's given me a couple for Team D.U.D.E.). Why have you lot never seen them before? Simple: Furries Ruin Everything. I haven't been comfortable with drawing and sharing anthropomorphic characters in the open for ages now because of furries, so while I've drawn these characters for Kory many times over a lengthy period of time, I've never really shared any.

But my other friend *ladydragona went and did this neat series of her own characters-for-Skin-Deep, and I was inspired to come out of my shell and share a few of my own. THANKS SFE.

So hopefully, I'll be posting a bunch of quick little portraits and drawings of the mythological-based characters I've made for Kory's comic, and all in a relatively short period of time. LET'S SEE HOW MANY I CAN DO.

NAME: Alec Orville Hyde
AGE: 24
INFO: Alec Hyde is a Bugbear, a type of English hobgoblin that resembles an enourmous black bear with glowing white eyes and gigantic claws. Possessing the ability to sense where people are in relation to them, the Bugbear was mainly known for following wayward children through the woods and chasing them home, and spooking people planning to do something immoral. They don't reflect light in fullform very well, and have the innate ability to attract creepy things like insects, arachnids and reptiles to themselves.

Alec himself is a pretty good example of the average Bugbear; he likes horror movies and collects stuffed dead things, has great big hairy dogs for pets and hopes to eventually get lung cancer, isn't scared by pretty much anything, and has an extremely morbid sense of humor. Raised by his dad in the London Avalon, he moves to the Liverpool Avalon of Skin Deep with his childhood friend Isaac and recent buddy Jeremy several years before the story begins. He shares a flat with Ike in the L.A. and makes a living playing with various bands at The Nightclub and taking part in bar bets. Has a Bugbear girlfriend named Ursula.
