Description
Character Design I did of Grammaton Cleric, John Preston played by Christian Bale in the (2002) film Equilibrium. I just thought it'd be cool to see an animated series or film of this and this is what I came up with. I may revisit this and do another piece. Always a pleasure seeing some love for this film, I feel there's an underground cult of sense offenders who are in on the secret of how great it truly is. I see some like this on occasion and think, if this wasn't a virtual interaction, I would make eye contact and nod, without saying a word, yet saying "You always knew."

Awesome pic! I love the effect you used for the muzzle flashes. I always thought that was cool in the film.

A lot of people talk about how this is Farinhiet 451 and 1984, but there's a lot of more comtemperate stuff too. EC-10 is a referance to the FCC rating system, and there's a bit where they say that hate crime was the first step to outlawing emotion.
