I took this picture a while ago and thought absolutely nothing of it. Not too long ago while going through some of my pictures I came back to this one and was actually surprised by how it turned out. It often seems that when I have just taken photos and I look at them right away I feel that they are terrible, I will then look back at them a few weeks or months later and it turns out that they weren't as bad as I had originally thought, some of them are even really great. Maybe it's time to go back over more of my old pictures; I might find a few surprises...

This one makes you sigh, silently and peacefully. Make you feel light. Fantastic feeling.
I especially like the contrast, the dusty-like background, how the feather splits the lightrays. So lightly. I find it a wonderful capture. With some imagination you can take the feather out from the photo, feel the fluffy softness and then blow it away again. Dreamy-like. Lovely.

Wow the contrast in the picture is so incredible, and somehow all I can think is that its a miricle a light feather can continue to float with that much weight of sun beating on it.. I dunno... awesome pic tho

I know the feeling. I take a pic, I look at it on the PC and it doesn't match my expectation of what I thought I had captured...and then a month or so later I look at it again, and having forgetten what my original expectation was, I might actually end up liking it

That's exactly it. Having forgotten the original expectation, you can really see what's good about the picture instead of see what about it doesn't meet your expectation.

A really god shot. It's amazing how the light gives it such an unexplainable efect, making it look... angelical?

Hi again. This is really beautiful! It's the sort of thing I would actually buy as a print (and I am a tight skint bitch so that is saying a lot).
How did you get the light going like that? Is it done on black paper? Or photomanip?
Hope things have calmed down a little for you since your DD's! I've read above and you're still managing to reply to everyone, which I really admire.

I wish I could give you all the exact details about how I did this, but it was a while ago and I don't remember perfectly. All I remember is that I used a flshlight and that this was taken on a white table (yes, a white table). The background is black because of the way the light was.
Yes, things have calmed down a lot since the DD. I have promised myself that even if I become a really popular deviant one day and that I get tons of comments I will still try to find a moment (probably on weekends) to reply to them (at least the comments; if I get hundreds of

It's the border that I use for all my deviations and I personally really like it. I'm glad you like the picture though!
