another redesign request from megasxlrfan for star maiden aurora star.. i decided to go for an angel gladiator kinda look..he requested for a pair of light blue energy wings to be added to the design.. i decided to go with a feathered wing silhouette for the energy wings but decided to go with pink instead of blue cos i wanted the wings to pop out a bit.. blue would have just blended in with the costume, not making much of an impact..
he wanted me to keep the original costume design but i found it too cluttered with stars so i took out most of it.. i also simplified the design.. remember, simplicity is the best!!
oh and look at those thin outline!! i just changed my pen to a fine tip 0.4 pen!! it makes inking the facial features so much simpler~

I really like the costume itself, but I don't agree with your decision on the wings. The pink is just too different from the other colors, so it doesn't "blend" well.
I am not saying the wings absolutely have to be blue or yellow (even if that would probably work very well), but I think it would be better to use a color closer to those, like a greenish blue or white.
Also, since Aurora Star has powers based on technology and gadgets, I think she could use wings that look more like they come from a technology-based device. They probably could have more geometric shapes, look holographic, or other things along those lines.
Sounds like I critique a lot, but I really like the clothing part on this. I may be biased by my magical girl fan side, but to me the clothes part look way better than the original design.
