Description It was probably her first time ever meeting him, at the celebration of her Cousin's birth. And what a first impression... *chuckles ruefully*

Yes, Hades' pose was blatantly borrowed. Although I did have to guess what his head looked like, since they made a dark cloud around it in the movie. XD

(Persephone and Hades' designs belong to D1sney)

Interesting, I am familiar with the myth of Hades and Persephone, but mixing it with the Disney film makes it more interesting! I always considered Persephone and Hercules as half siblings, but they are cousins also, man is that family screwed up! Zeus is both Persephone and Herc's father, yet both their mothers (Hera and Demeter) are siblings to Zeus, so yeah Herc and Persephone would be cousins and half-siblings, very wacky family! Cool drawing by the way!

You're exactly right! I simplified things a bit when I was thinking of the plot, but you're correct in the fact that Zeus is the dad of both Persephone and Hercules. But there mothers are sisters...Zeus' sisters. So how exactly does that work out? *laughs* And that would mean that Hades ends up marrying his neice, but is that really as bad as some of the stuff Zeus has done? I dunno. I try not to think about it too hard myself, otherwise I think my brain would get caught in a twist. XD

Still, I'm glad you like the picture. I assume that up until this point Persephone has been kept with her mother and Naieds (not sure if I spelled that right...) at the island, as follows the myth. But since she actually appears in the movie, I assume that this might be the first instance in which she runs into any males at all, much less Hades.

Hmm. I think I already summarized this in the image description. *shrugs* In any case, it makes for a curious endeavor of romance for our favorite Lord of Death.

Thanks for the comment!

Hades- Mmm... wonder if people will think I'm a pedophile... then again, they already think the worst about me, and most of the time they're right.

Well, it gets worse than that-she's technically his neice. XD Then again, she's a teenager when Hercules is a baby, yet appears to be the same age when he's an adult, so I guess age is relative for the gods. *smiles and shrugs* What's a few hundred years, give or take?

Heh, truth. Besides, Hera is Zeus' sister.

It's all in the family, when you get down to it. XD

As I read recently in a Labyrinth webcomic, "Why do you think we tend to marry humans?"

Heh, yeah, they get tired of in-breeding.

Exactly! But what can you do, when they're already a predetermined pair? *shrugs*

Hades was awesome. XD He was my favorite Disney villain for a while. I watched a lot of Disney movies as a kid. And Pixar. I've always been a Pixar fangirl. XD

I grew up mostly before Pixar existed. Or at least, the precurser to Pixar. So Brad Bird's Iron Giant kind of counts, I guess. XD Still, yeah, there's no school like the old school. And Hades is definitely Old School cool.

He needs a girl that can bug the heck out of him. Rofl. Check out the "Persephone Sketches" description, if you ever have the time.
