Are all pics with no background, vectored drawings?

not necessarily, it is just an option to save the file as a .png, which preserves transparency. a vector is just an infinitely scaleable line, without getting all the pixels. i use photoshop though, so my drawings technically are not true vectors, just good quality rasters
