"Beside me, Velvet fired her pistol over and over at it. She was a bad shot, but finally hit it. The needle bounced off the armored bot harmlessly.

The bot returned fire, slicing through her mane.

'Fine,' she bristled with lady-like resolution. I was surprised to feel the combat shotgun float out of its holder. 'Let's try this one.'

BLAM!!"

The hokey-looking device in Velvets mouth would be my attempt at recreating the needle shooting gun from Fallout 1 and 2. Also, I couldn't remember what kind of armor/covering Velvet should have, so I went with the saddlebag box of Fluttershyness.
