Ooh, cool! 
I like how the eye(?) looks like you're peering into a molten rock or something. I think you were trying to go for a similar effect with the gash on the body, but I think it looks a little flatter there. Maybe if you adjusted the sides of the gash it would look more like you're looking deeper into the golem? Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm explaining my thoughts clearly.
