Thanks, I used just normal drawing inks but diluted with alcohol rather than water to get a more marker-like rather than watercolour-like quality

amazing architecture, for me it has rather African than European feel to it - something like Great Zimbabwe or Nubian pyramids

True, since the pointed hat doesn't really fit with any of the classic french gothic or romanesque styling, but although I can't say where the style comes from I think the fontevraud abbey has a similar kind of conical top on a part of it so maybe it's a more primitive form or a bastardisation of the same style.

As for history lover the name Fontevraud wasn't unfamiliar to me though never saw it's architecture before. So after checking can say I see some similarities but none of the buildings is that weird looking. It's really unique and awsome place, would love to see it in real life some day
