Description Part of the final for my latest (possibly last) art class was to do four self portraits. This is the third one I did.

This one, I think, is the most successful, though it doesn't look as much like me as the last one does. A LOT of people in my class, especially the teacher, complimented me on it, and a lot of people mentioned that it looks like a mask.

The reason, I think, that it looks like a mask, is because my features are too narrow and too pressed toward the middle; couple that with the lack of hair and neck and you've got one scary Halloween mask, my friend.

I didn't draw my hair on request of my teacher, who was really the best art teacher I've ever had. She thought that it was a more effective drawing without the hair, sadly. (I like my hair.) We did this one reductively (or we were supposed to; I kinda failed at that.)

I also used ciascaro, the technique of putting black near white for visual contrast, to the best of my ability, hence the background. I got extra points for that, too.

CRITIQUE! Critique me like there's no freaking tomorrow. I enjoy it, really, I do.
