What is in a Rose?
Full, yet freezing to the core from the events of days passed. He wakes from the land of nightmares, loathing the techno color gleam of the day, showering the rest of the world. A happy place among the darkness; for there is not pass, present, or future when there is no light to guide you.
"Empathy is God's sarcasm", the selfish obligatory mission statement of one running away from truth. The thought makes him chuckle under his breath, hoping the sound will lull the ghosts of the past not to extend an unpleasant visit.
They laugh back, seeing the fear behind the bluff, the madness. Rallying to a realization, charging his mind so bound to out run his purpose, that meaning for living so many in his life have missed. Guilt clotting his throat for he knows that there are men and women who have squandered happiness for what most would call better judgment.
Even though at roses my smell like shit, how is to say that is isn't more beautiful for it? Shining at when the nothing else makes sense. As a man among many roses, he'd rather be happy than right any day of this short life.
