Just a little quicky I did as an ACEO trading card thingy, lots of fun! I used a really fine ink line work and watercolour. Working quick at this size is fun for experimenting without pressure I found... I like how the colours turned out in this, in a way I wouldn't normally use them.It's auctioning on Ebay now

Beautiful! The colors are magnificent (I really like the white fins with all the blue and the color of the shells). The mermaid on a rock pose is classic but you seem to make it fresh and new everytime it's painted

Heh. I was so gonna ask what pigment you used for her hair and tail. I'm glad I read the comments before I did since you already answered it. I do believe I shall try that pigment...it's great. I love that greyed blue. Lovely. And this is a great painting. I love her hair.

I love her pose, the blue in this piece is so beautiful. The accessories are very befitting and add to her appeal, I like the blue arm coverings. Her look is very dignified as well, very attractive.

Beautiful and elegant work. The "cold" highlights make the water and the spray feel freezing. Great work with the colors. I love how they bleed together, for an almost flower-petal sort of coloration, especially in the tail. Well done.

Sorry, I've never been able to handle watercolour pencils, so can't give you much advice there! I always use pans.

That's Antwerp Blue! My newest favourite colour to paint with
It's cool because sometimes it turns out really vibrant, and other times more greyed and neutral.. I think it has two quite distinct pigments in it.
