Background from my Steezy Animation!

DESCRIPTION
Steezy is a character I made for a group on Discord / DA that has a more "future" take on the series Wings of Fire. Steezy is one of my own characters. The story itself is about how he leaves a toxic household while reliving the horrors he went through during his stay on the way out.

The animation starts with Steezy putting on makeup: a habit he developed that covers up the fact that he's mixed (to keep his reputation in "good light" as an opera singer; the concept of hybrid dragons is still rather frowned upon in the Ice Kingdom). As he does he focuses on his hand, which has torn fingers. That's when the flashback begins, indicated in black and white. When Steezy went to a private school near the ice/sand borders, some long and complicated scenario happened which eventually escalated with an older dragon beating him to a pulp and stealing his claws, wearing them as a necklace. But Steezy pulls through anyway, ready to leave his old life behind. Scene changes to him passing posters, trophies-all things he got during his career as an opera singer. Proud heir of a long line of musically-inclined dragons. He loves his career, but so much of himself is fake that it's more of a brand than it was self expression. The next snapshot was with him and his family. Supposedly they're all in the living room and one of the parents throws a beer bottle, which hits the younger "memory" representation of him that's skittering behind the couch.

There's a LOT more to the animation, but it's on my laptop which is on the other side of the country-and it'll be another 4 months before I grab it. It finishes with him "breaking free" and leaving. The credits to show how his attacker follows him to his new destination: Isle Mezzo.

This animation took me roughly 2 weeks. I pulled some all nighters, and tried to sleep less than 5 hours. (This was my final in college). So I can't really tell you the hours.
