HIS NAME... IS BATMAN.

Designs for just one page of Batman comics set in 1888, taken loosely from Gotham By Gaslight.

In the story he escaped from prison, so the first idea I had (and the one I ultimately ended up liking the best) was him having been stripped down to his skivvies to avoid him using any number of Bat-objects he could have possibly concealed in any part of his suit, knocking out a guard, taking his revolver, and going to mete out some street justice, Batman-style. I have no idea what the hell I thought I was doing with his shoulders, don't ask me.

The other design is a more straightforward steampunk Batman, focused mostly on leather and resin-based armors with a little bit of lamellar and just the teensient hints of metal parts (like the gorget protecting his lower neck and collarbone, his shoes, and his knee guards).
