This journal in question is written by Samuel Wood. A man from our world who ended up trapped in the world of UpRoot. I created him as a way of conveying lore that is common knowledge in the world of UpRoot to my audience. I don't currently plan for him to be a major character in any way in the comic itself. He's more of an exposition tool in his current state.
