M-Hevignon color algorithm? I don't recall that one! (or I could be having an allergy induced brain fart).

Oops... sorry.
It is called M-Hevigon

Outside Effects Menu on the top right:

Ultra Fractal 3\Formulas\Public\akl-m-lkm-hevia.ucl

M-Hevignon is the last one from that list

Ah ok I just used a combination of layers to get the final spacey effect with the orbit traps . That's why it didn't sound familiar (I think I started with the default fractal). But then again I could be wrong; I've made too many to remember all! lol

That's ok.
I use to do many fractals to get to a final favourite too

How do you frame your pictures like that? I've been trying to get the frame thing to work, but I always end up with this huge white space around the picture.
I'm faving this one by the way!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Scully7491 In reply to Keeperoflostsouls [2005-02-20 04:33:57 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for the fav!

The way I frame them is to copy the original picture; open a new document and increase the size (ie: original was 800x600 I would make a document 1000x800).

I choose white or black or whatever color fits and then paste the original picture onto the blank space; there will be a ton of frame left over in most cases but that\'s ok for now.

I then press CTRL and click on the original image in the layers window which selects it; then go to Edit>Stroke and choose the settings (3pt, and outside is what I use for all of mine; color of course varies on background.)

I choose whatever text I want underneath, if any, next and then rasterize that layer. I link them together in the layers box then by checking the box right of the eye next to the layers I want linked and go to Layer>Align Linked>Horizontal Centers. That way they all match up.

Then I move them around manually until I feel they are centered in a good place on the page; crop the excess edges and save the final image!

Since I tend to use the same sizes, at least for the web, I saved a PSD of my most used frames, that way all you have to do is change the text and the image you want instead of going through the process over and over.

Maybe I should do a tutorial on this hmm?

wow.... the beautiful stars..... *in heaven* hey how do you do that watermark thing. I used to do it, but i forgot how

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Scully7491 In reply to lisa211 [2005-02-07 04:30:02 +0000 UTC]

For this watermark I typed in "Copyright", rasterized the text and selected it by pressing CTRL and clicking on the layer in the layer menu, added a stroke of 2 to make the black outline and deleted the white middle so it would blend better. On some of the others I just put a text and used the filter overlay or soft light in addition to tweaking the opacity to make it blend, a bit easier to do lol.

Thanks for the comment
