Backstory time!

OK, so there's this person on Tumblr with whom I roleplay (you know who are you if you're reading this) and one of their muses is this minor character from the Sonic IDW comics. And I mean super minor considering the poor guy didn't even have a name, he was literally just "The Warden" - which is amusing in hindsight since my roleplay partner chose to literally give the name "Warden". Simple yet effective! There's also this whole backstory where Warden wound up developing a second Hyde-like personality, crazy stuff.

As for the other half of this couple, those of you familiar with Persona 5 Royal might have realized that the other guy is actually an anthro Dr. Maruki. He just so happens to be one of my muses and even has an AU verse where he's an anthro Shikoku Inu.

Now then, my roleplay partner and I had been doing this thread where Warden and Maruki meet and become friends, and I have had plans to push their dynamic towards a more romantic direction. However, due to both life and changes in plans, we had to postpone this thread for now.

In short, these sketches are self-indulgence for my gay furry heart.

I also went a little ham on Clip Studio Paint's Shading Assist because it is so much funner than I expected it to be - I just wish it came with more options.

So, yeah enjoy.

Maruki belongs to Atlus. Warden belongs to the IDW Sonic team.
