Description oil on wood 146cmx114cm or 57.48"x44.88"

"Once at the croak of a Raven who crost it
A barbarous people,
Blind to the magic
And deaf to the melody,
Snarl'd at and cursed me.
A demon vext me,
The light retreated,
The landskip darken'd,
The melody deaden'd,
The Master whisper'd,
'Follow the Gleam.'

Great pic ... is this a self portrait of yourself walking in the dessert looking for something the creatures havd lost or they are asking you to find something they lost...???
Are those huge creatures statues or living moving creatures ... they exist on all the architechture of your imagined cities...
But there is one thing , if you watched the movie the cell , i think if i was Jenifer Lopez and want to use that equipment, i would love to venture deep in your imagination hehehehe , realy unique... something never seen before..

Love
Danielle

I should stop and go to bed as it's very late here, but I can't seem to stop going through your gallery...

All the images are so captivating...

It's mind-boggling..

I absolutely love the creatures... very fascinating... same applies to the beings which might be organic as well as idolons on the stone plate... also love the details and with how much care they are done. The floating beings add a lot to the scene looking like it was from a really existing eco system... eg. to the scene looking 'natural'. It's these details (also the hieroglyphs etc.) which make it unique.

If I had one point to critizice, it would be that the proportions of the human figure up front don't seem 100% right, but I feel it is a neglible thing here - actually, one hardly notices...

This is a lot like a mural my ex partner had painted a year ago. A desert scene, again, and a blue sky. I like this painting of yours, perhaps because it is more 'quiet' than most, it has fewer elements. Love it.

*bonbon took my line here. Frank Herbert would most certainly have had a hard time if he would have to choose between this one and one of the covers that's on his Dune novels.

Great work, again. A lot of your creatures, worlds, and moods put me in mind of the works of Lovecraft-a lot more so than the artwork or film view that is usually associated with it.

It's really hard to comment on your artwork,
there's just to read the introduction lines and to immerse in it...
Deviant +realitysquared having read in my mind,
I'll just add a a and ask again for printable version

Hmmm,
I have so little time available to actually browse deviantART nowadays that it's nice to have an image grab my attention during it's brief time in the 'Recent Deviation Submissions' area.

I really like a good surreal artwork and this is definitely one of the better ones which I've seen lately.

I really like the ruins in the background; the way they protude from the sand gives the work a very mysterious quality and it makes me wonder what sort of history this barren landscape has witnessed and what secrets may be buried beneath the sands.

Good job.
