Title by speical request of (other person in picture). We're throwin' up our signs.Time: unknown. 20-25 hoursish?
Materials: 2B, HB, 2H, ebony pencils, kneaded eraser
Size: small - 6"x9"
Yeah, I know, another drawing of me and Jessie...sorry.
This is one of a series of 12 that will comprise my AP Art portfolio this year, so I had to finish it in a week...which I actually managed to pull off. Of course, I haven't gone to sleep before midnight in a while, but that's okay. 
Anyway. Can't think of anything else to say about it. ...we were on a boat trip...the wind was messing up my hair...-.-
New: Okay, so I know you've seen this before. However, I went back and added a background and made the other one a WIP. Only a few hours were added for the background.
Edit 3/23/07: This one got a Gold Key on the national level in the '07 Scholastic Art Competition. Yay!
It was also displayed in MSU's Student Art Show from 1/20/09-2/12/09.
It was displayed in a local coffee shop and at my high school in 2009 and 2010.

This is really very good, it looks 3D. I like the shadow that her sunglasses cast across her cheekbone and eye. Very realistic.

one thing I think of though, I would like to see you smudge out the lines a little? on the skin for example. then it would look even more real!

Yeah, definitely...I actually blame a little of that on the photo; my photos generally screw up the quality...but you're right, that is something I need to work on. I want to buy a tortillion (sp?) and try it...thanks for the comment!
