I'll just jump on the bandwagon and say I love the colours. XD It's just a pity it was so cloudy; would have been nice to see more from that sunset.
I've noticed you have 'advanced critique encouraged' on, but I'm afraid I'm not too good at doing that with photography, so I'll just say perhaps you could have edited the picture a bit at the bottom to make the ground a bit more vibrant, to go with the sky, or perhaps taken the photo from a different angle/direction, so the road/path would have gone at an angle as well instead of straight on.

i spend some time in southern illinois, and on only a few occasions have i seen anything like this. of course i don't see in hdr, but still....
