Description This is pencil and charcoal drawn on Arches paper. It is 8X10" and it took about 20 hours. I did this as a gift for a friend of mine. I hope you like it as well.

I cut frisket film around the rose, left it for a week, then pulled it off. It damaged the paper surface ideal for charcoal. Then took charcoal and graphite powder and used paintbrushes and then drew on it.

Abstract was the right word for the back ground. If you've ever seen, there is a fabric paper thats made from lint - your back ground reminds me of it. But the rose looks so delicate.

Good Job!
