Added 4/23/08My part of an art trade with , this is his Wendigo. I don't know if I got all of him correct, but I hope you like it as much as I liked his pic of Tzeltal!
I thought I might ruin it if I colored it, so I left it B&W.

a friend of mine saw this pic and then saw the pic you did for savage and he said they look alike. i told him they do not look the same. then an idea popped into my head, that maybe they could battle each other. (Savage looks evil, but he a good guy.)

So for all intents & purposes, what we have here is a LITERAL 'spider monkey.' Considering that primates as a whole are Evil Incarnate (just look at us), the horrid potential here is obvious.
Details I dig:
-The spiffy opposed quad talons & bristling ankle/wrist chitin.
-Those alternating patches of fur & bare flesh/muscle(?).
-That funky row o' dorsal spines.
-The mandible/tongue combo...what an exquisitely disturbing visage it forms. This single feature truly breaks Wendigo outta the generic Kong/Sasquatch pack.
-That wild, hungry gaze...matches the dripping hell-proboscis perfectly.
The one design element that bugs me here are those big pointy ears...for some reason they just seem out of place on an ape/spider hybrid. Mind you, this is hardly a sticking point for me.
All in all, this monstrosity is a fine refutation of the unspoken 'mammal-kaiju=hero' rule, and definitely strikes me as A-list villain material.

it's ok. If you are anything like me, you probably was just trying to make it more proportion to a average kaiju body design. I mean, no offense to Greogle, but most kaiju aren't known for their long legs.

Well, this came out lovely.
He's got that ravening glare, that punk beastiality and that disgursting appeal that he's known for. The head's the best part, I think. I especially dig the way his mouthparts came out. Definitely captures that dirty ape/spider vibe.
Though I'm admittedly confused as to how Die Spinne freaks you out, but you can draw Wendy just fine. XP
My only real problem with this one are the limbs. They're not really long and spindley enough for the character, who's supposed to be gaunt and scarecrow-like when he rears up.
Overall, though, I think this is a wonderfully beautiful take on Rygama's arch-nemesis!
