I walk on clouds laced with the golden sunWhile on the ground, blackness continues to run
Like a hailstorm hitting those who work to carry me

Admiration and envy eclipses their fortuneless sorrow
And creates a desire to take my path and follow
But the trail turns intense, as tumultuous as the sea

Heed the warning cry made of my immeasurable pressure
And consider the tone of this solemn lecture
For nothing can be worse for those who shadow me
And who wish

My being they could be
The light of life is shaded gray
And has sunk like rocks in the deep dark bay
The ornately jeweled anchor drags me down further
And here I cannot stay

Very eloquent, and an interesting interpretation to take on the original poem and song (of both I am a fan). I like how you decided to word his decision without giving away the specifics, it creates a nice contrast between how his actions impacted others and how he perceived his actions.
