the cold, black eyes will glimmer a vicious crimson
as they search
the frigid, icy breath whispers across a neck
stealing a shiver
as if being stripped of a soul
piece by savage piece
the jagged, gleaming talons shred flesh
create streams swirling with shades of scarlet
a sob
the sinister, merciless hiss
a bloodcurdling, nightmarish scream
slashing through the air
like a scythe
the doomed silence
an unearthly, rigid quiet
nerves on high
too petrified to move
too horrified to cry
you will never escape it
Demoniacally,
your annihilation...

Write like this more often, you've got a great bit of atmosphere and imagery written here... and it's not about boys and girls not liking each other any more (which is refreshing).

Thank you! I really don't want to pretend to try to understand love and breaking up and all that crap. I write a love poem every once in a while, but I'm not that committed to it. Feelings like that are a mystery to me and it doesn't help that I've enver been in love myself. I've always believed that you write best about what you know.

You see I think it's the opposite, you write best about what you don't know because your imagination takes over and fills in the gaps. The poems I've submitted are all about things I haven't and probably wont ever experience, don't doubt your imagination!
