The absolute fear that oozes from this piece thematically perfect and visually just *chefs kiss*. It is insanely difficult to pull off something like this, where it is both *exceedingly* everything that gets me all tingly AND completely faithful to the source. Kudos!
Don't get me wrong, I *love* fan works featuring favs done up in terribly distressing situations. But theres the stuff I enjoy, and the stuff I enjoy with my magic wand in private. The rare crossovers like what you've depicted here with our poor fightened Archivist just reduce me to a puddle of pure delight.
(P.S. shout out to hurt/comfort, the real mvp that I cant help gravitating towards in all media ever since 12 year old me first experienced the stange thrill of dark HP fics)
