I think that the "messiness" is one of the best things about the picture. It has a sense of spontaneity and movement that would be hard to achieve with a more polished style. The colours you've chosen are good- and draw the eye through the monochrome of the rest of the picture.

The expression on his face is especially good. I'm not even a fan of Sephiroth and I'm still awfully impressed.
