I've enjoyed Alexandra Byrne and Charlie Wens costume designs and especially Chris Hemsworth's humanizing take on Thor. Thor was a character I never really liked or found interesting in the comics and thought a movie character would be a joke, until I saw the movie (not that it was perfect) but it was fun and well designed. Now I can appreciate how his character develops with different artists and directors moving the story around. "Dark World" one proves to be a little "Middle-Earth meets heroic proportions"- gritty, ancient, otherworldly and graphic in war. The tone of this quick drawing is trying to capture this, and the spidery veining a vague and organic reminds me vaguely of electricity and the roots of the "Life Tree".
