This is a scene I drew last semester, and I still think it's funny, haha (even though Pappa is too short, but I never can keep his size right) Those are Pappa's older brothers, Boris (big one) and Nikolai (little one) Pappa got Mamma pregnant when he was 18 and didn't have much choice but to propose. He would have anyway, but didn't have the nerve before. And he almost lost his nerve anyway, good thing his brothers were there to catch him, haha

I like to think of Simon getting cold feet before getting married, and trying to run away, and Pappa whacking him over the back of his head with his cane and dragging him to the bar. (I'm mad that you can't see their whiskey glasses very well)

After the wedding:
Simon: Thanks for stopping me
Pappa: No problem. I've wanted to beat you with my cane since the day I met you.
Simon: ....thanks
