Β Not my best work, but for a colored sketch, not bad. I just wish I could have gotten more Bokabinsky family members in there. (I can't decide if Vya looks like he's encouraging Simon, or offering him up as a human sacrifice XD )It's a little hard to name them, since they're not in rows or anything, but The one in yellow is Vya's sister Ilya, the woman above her with the gray stripe in her hair is his mother, the man below her is his father. Above them, the lady with the eye patch is his grandmother (on his mom's side), the lady with the red hair is his oldest sister Dorya, next to her is his brother Egor, and next to him is Vya's cousin Pasha, who is NOT happy to see some man taking up all the attention of the object of her affection.

I love this one. Though it makes me VERY curious how Simon's family reacted to Vya. Shy Vya probably equals some amusing first impressions

Hahaha, well Simon's family has an equally bad opinion about Vya. Most of the Dershowitz's are very judgemental and bitchy, and each one has a different reason for disliking him (being poor, being foreign, being "communist", being a redhead, not being jewish, ect.) Simon's dad likes Vya though, because he bakes. And his brother Joshua likes him because Joshua is too chill to really hate anyone.

I can see most of that coming from Xenophobia, for the most part. Though the communist idea is a little surprising. I didn't know they still called people that. Unless this is set farther back then I thought?

Lol, no, it's set in the present-day. I'm sure only the oldest of Simon's relatives think Vya is a communist spy. (old people are slow to give up ridiculous prejudices) And yeah, it's just cuz Simon's family is judgemental as hell, they'd probably be that way to anybody who wasn't in their "circle"

Exactly XD My dad's side of the family is "What you see is what you get", they are EXACTLY as crazy and weird as they seem. My mom's side of the family is like a time release of crazy, they seem normal at first, but the longer you're around them, the more you realize how weird they are.

people are funny...my family are polite in public mostly...come to my grandmothers house and you'll see crazy when every gets going. they all have grudges and wont' all sit together and argue if they do ...its' annoying.
my other side of the family...more reserved, but have worse darker things in there past so you can't trust them either, but if you piss them off they will cuss you out so...yeah i dont' see them at all.

Hahaha, glad you like! And Vya may get his looks from his father, but all his crazy came from his mother XD (and Ilya's literally just there because of how much I love to draw people smoking haha)
