Description
From a year and a half ago. I love living in Mass and seeing the foliage that makes New England famous. This is the last painting I made before moving away from a generally godforsaken area, with just a handful of beautiful spots like this. This painting forced me to rethink how I do plein airs- to be less literal without losing the "spirit" of a scene. This is a very condensed version of this panorama, but I'm proud of it. Acryla-gouache on a weird canvas-like paper meant for oils, about 9"x12".
