Not to be rude, but the whole issue of tolerance in recent years has gotten bigger because so many people get angry when they're told of negative consequences of their choices, and they don't want to change to live better lives.

There are two paths that this life lead to: righteousness and joy with God through Christ, and death and destruction in separation from God. It's no doubt which is the negative consequence, and there's no denying the Truth that is indeed Scripture with what's spiritually inspired, as well as the very physical evidence in this world that is described in the Bible.

Do me a favor and step back for a second. Consider what this piece says from a neutral standpoint. This is about the "Praise Jesus and fuck those faggots!" christians. It's about the "New Orleans was a den of sin and got what it deserved!" people. Because they exist, and, like it or not, they're over there in your camp. And a lot more people in that camp really need to be saying, "hey, guys? Yeah, you're idiots."
SOMEONE needs to say it- hell, SHOUT it from the rooftops. Sitting here and saying nothing implies that it's okay, and it's so very not.

What a terrible view you have on Christians. -.- I've been at the neutral standpoint before. In fact, I was antichrist before my Salvation. I know for a fact with what can be seen on earth and with things far beyond earth that God, heaven, hell, and all of Scripture is real and true. To know this, we must turn and reach for God, rather than turning our backs to Him. So many people feel that He's turned His back, as I once did, but so many of those are too blind to see their mistakes.

and, by the by, you don't know that for a fact. I'm not going to argue what your faith tells you, but you know these things based on faith.
Faith and fact are not the same thing. They're kind of synonyms. I take it from what you've written that english isn't your first language, so I'm just going to leave it be there and let you digest that.

Fact is certainly what it means--fact. Facts don't require faith or trust of any sorts. Faith, however, is trust. I have my trust in the One who created the foundation for all the facts that we have in our world, such as tangible objects, ability for events in the world to occur, and the events of the world that have occurred that also have many facts to easily support their happenings, and I'm not speaking of the faulty, easily disproved theory of evoluiton.

I hate to burst your bubble, but evolution happened, is happening, and will happen. It's a solid, solid fact.
It's the foundation of modern biology and is supported by numerous examples...not to mention the entire field of genetics. Sorry, man, but no matter how many people tell you that it's all a hoax... Science has mountains of evidence on its side.

The world is not 6000 years old.
Man was not molded from dirt.
The Earth is not flat.
Again, step back. Be objective. The Bible was written as a way to explain the natural world... 2-?000 years ago. Are there some bits that are historically accurate? Yes. But that does not mean that other parts were not embellished or simply created from thin air. It's a great example of a tribe of people attempting to describe the world around them and the cause thereof.
But we've grown since then. Humanity now has the ability to explore the world with an AMAZING level of accuracy. It's a power that has *evolved* from our early days of shamans and high priests.
Evil spirits don't cause sickness; viruses, microbes, and bacteria do.
Lightning strikes aren't the work of some jealous, petty god (and yes, he is jealous and petty... Glance at the OT and wince) they're electricity in action.
We can stand tall and bear the non-ego-stroking essence of the natural world; we don't need the supernatural anymore. No longer do we have to be some important cog in a diving plan... the center of everything important... we can simply be.
Religion is just as much a vestigial organ as the hind leg bones of a whale.
And, sadly, no matter how much proof and reason I lay at your feet, I'm sure you'll simply ignore it and say, "I have faith." See, I've had these discussions before. My friends have had these discussions. It always comes down to fact and reason vs. faith.
And the faith side always comes down to, "I have faith that you are wrong, despite what I have been shown. I shall ignore reason and all your arguments because god is always right...because god said so."
So, hey... if you've something different to contribute, then by all means do. But if i don't respond, you'll know why.

A reversed view on the world again from you. I could take twice as much room as you took in explaining that evolution as you say it cannot do nearly half of the things that it should if it were true, and explaining to you the science and evidence of such events that occurred according to the Bible...
