Description     Chaz attacked full force, even going as far as to use spirit mode, but it was not enough. Max had the same smile he had every day. He was in spirit form, but Chaz knew it was only to make him feel better, Max was still not trying, "Son, do ya really want me to train you? There are things you're pretty damn good at and actually want ta do." Chaz was breathing hard and had a few bruises. He knew full well if his dad wasn't holding back his arm would have been broken and his ribs may have been fractured where as despite having a couple bruises Max was perfectly fine. "I know I ask this every day, but you're just to self conscious to ever be to good a fighter, stick to your drawing." Chaz accidentally let out a deep angry growl and Max sighed. Rocks launched themselves off of the ground and attached themselves to Chaz's arm. Max was a Metal user and fighting him was dangerous due to all the metal he carried, the sand in his vest and his gauntlets, but also because of his natural resistance and sturdiness, Chaz didn't have a natural talent like that, so to make up for it  Chaz always used his powers of earth to try and make an armor. Unfortunatly as Max has shown time and time again stone will never be stronger than steel as Max was able to dodge Chaz's punch and lock him in a headlock, "Get out of Spirit Mode boy, I need to start dinner soon anyway." Chaz struggled to try and get out of the headlock but it was as if Max locked his entire body in place and Chaz couldn't move him an inch. Chaz sighed as his beard, and fangs vanished. Max let him go and started walking off without hesitation, "Since you still have so much energy go give your dog a walk why don't cha? He tried runnin off again, he may be thinkin he's unloved  and is lookin for a new family."

Max was usually a good dad, but when they fight he got extremely cold hearted, always punching at Chaz's insecurities and always letting him know he will not surpass him. To make it worse Chaz is the only one he bullies. Max has trained plenty of people, he put the fear of the gods in most of them and made them reconsider their goals in life, but the students that were able to stick around were trained harshly, Max wouldn't even give Chaz weights or the random unneeded chores. Max knew Chaz hated special treatment so why did even he treat him differently? Chaz was in a bad mood. It didn't help the sky was getting cloudy and gray, good thing Buddy liked the rain. Chaz pat his leg and Buddy came darting out of the house and jumped full force into his chest. Chaz may have been a big boy, but so was Buddy as Chaz fell under the weight of the excited pup trying to shield his face from his tongue.

"I know I know, You love me, lets go for a walk before we get drenched and dad kills us for messing up the house."

Buddy was usually a good dog. He was always within eyesight when walked even if he runs in circles and he always came back when called, especially with Chaz who was the one that wanted Buddy when an angry old lady knocked on the door and accused Gear for deflowering her precious pure bred Arstic. Buddy was chubby then and he's still chubby, despite both of his parents being thin and fit. They walked to the old park called Swan Lake. It wasn't actually a lake, and it attracted more ducks than swans, but it was named after the great warrior of the Lake Region and the mother of the heroes Tech and Max, Chaz's grandmother Maria Clearsea-Mankato. Even though she was another Mankato she always kept her Clearsea name due to what it represented. Yet another great "perfect" family to add to the Legacy of the bloodline. The Clearsea family is considered the chosen family of the gods. They all have snow white hair and have a lot of influence in the governments around the world due to their unique abilities and natural guidance, the strongest ability belonging to Linda Clearsea, Maria, and Max, the power of Premonition, or "The Eyes of the Leader." It was probably because they were only a fourth Clearsea, but Chaz, Bloom, and Liana never showed any Clearsea abilities, all of them had colored hair, and though Chaz had yellowish eyes they were nowhere near as pure as the Red, Yellow, and Blue eyes the Clearseas usually have, though Liana had the gray eyes of one. Maybe she really is a seer and that's why she seemed to have it so easy when it came to work.

Buddy was trying to play with the ducks, but it was clear they didn't like him when they decided to gang up on him and chase him around the pond angrily. It was kinda funny watching him run because he hops to get around. "Ready to go home Buddy?" Chaz asked as Buddy changed his direction from Chaz to home and zoomed right past him. Chaz starte following Buddy taking a glance at the sky. Everything looked dim and gray, very depressing, it felt like something was wrong, as if the clouds have always been up there. Chaz's train of thought was shattered when he heard growling. He looked down slowly to see Buddy looking like he was about to attack someone. He was scanning the area, violently looking around. Chaz was confused. Buddy never showed any violent behavior. Ever since he was a puppy he playfully barked and whimpered, but not once has he ever growled out of anger. When Buddy finally started running Chaz tried calling out his name but Buddy didn't stop. Chaz ran after him which proved hard as Buddy ran a lot faster than usual.

Chaz was trying to keep track of the streets. Because he never liked leaving the house there was a lot of the town he was not familiar with, but he was also trying to keep an eye on Buddy know seemed to know exacally where he was going, and before long Chaz heard the sounds of people arguing and a sound that could only be someone getting hit. Sure enough Buddy turned in it's direction and barked way louder than he usually does. A man was standing over a bruised woman, his hand on fire and yelling profanities and the woman tried her best to get back on her feet. It was still bright enough, where was everyone? The flames around the man's hand got bigger and Chaz instinctively stomped the ground. The ground underneath the man moved and threw him off balance, just long enough for Chaz to sink his fist into his gut. Chaz was not used to holding back so punching after training with his dad was probably a bad idea because he went down and did not get back up.

Buddy was tending to the woman as Chaz encased the man in the concrete and called the Guard. Chaz was trembling. He had no idea why but he was happy, really happy. He not only found but dealt with a bad guy before the Guard could even respond, he stopped someone from being badly hurt, Chaz suddenly knew how to write Jax's origin story, and it was all thanks to Buddy. Guess Buddy always did know how to make him feel better. Chaz and Buddy made sure the woman was safe with the Guard and was complemented on his bravery. Even the Guardsmen saying he was just like his dad didn't bother him this time as Chaz and his dog started walking back home happy and full of energy, though the sun shining in Chaz's eyes did annoy him. He always hated walking home during sunset.

Chaz wasn't even able to walk threw the door before Bloom handed him a basket, "Put your clothes away, and in the future try not to let your laundry stack up, I'm touching your underwear way to much."

"Wow, usually it's the boy trying to get the girl's panties. I'm glad you are brave enough to show your true feelings desires so openly." Chaz was smacked on the head by Bloom's shoe, but all he could do was laugh. Bloom gave him a weird look. This was usually when the two glare at each other. Chaz was known to have a mood as low as his dad's and a temper as short as his mom's, laughing was not normal for him especally after getting hit.

"Ooooo, Someone's in a good mood. Did you finally get a girlfriend?"

"What? No. I think I'm entitled to have a good day."

Bloom gave a sly smile. She liked investing herself into her brother's life and if there was something to gossip about she was determined to find it., "Unfortunately you're always frowning so I'm not sure what can make you so happy, but if you want to stay happy I need details, spill."

    "It's not a girlfriend!"

"Ok, Fine. Don't let mom see you smiling like a lovesick puppy then. You know she's been wanting you to bring a girl home since elementary."

"Good point, she's even more annoying than you when it comes to that."

Chaz ran away with his basket as Bloom's other shoe flew past his head. Safely back in his room he opened his closet and started throwing his clothes in. Based off of his organized chaos everything on the closet floor was clean enough, everything else may need to be washed. As long as the clean and the dirty didn't get mixed up everything was fine right? Only a few pieces of clothing got special treatment, like his old Blue and White hoodie he always wore when he was upset, the shorts he always wore to sleep, his football jersey 76, a couple black wristbands, and, he pulled out an orange square of fabric. It wasn't his, it was one of his mom's bandana's. She never wore it because there was no point wearing an orange bandanna with orange hair but she kept it because her dad bought it for her. Grandpa Leonard was braindead when it came to anything fashion related, as shown time and time again when Bloom complained about things like wearing purple and letting it clash with his red hair, or once buying her a bright yellow dress with puffy shoulders and frills. Leonard thought it was cute, but that's probably the moment Bloom decided to get into fashion.

Chaz was about to throw the bandanna at the door, hoping he'll remember it doesn't belong in there, but he hesitated and looked at it. Chaz entered Spirit Mode, letting his beard grow out like it always did and put the bandanna on. It was just minor curiosity, but when Chaz looked in the broken mirror on his closet door he couldn't look away. Jax was older and lighter skinned, but that one bandanna brought Chaz so much closer to his character. He started wondering what he would look like if he was able to find Jax's entire outfit. It shouldn't be to hard. The combat vest could be found at any Guardshop, and if he just used his football gear, and a black shirt, Chaz was kinda astonished he never thought of that before, it would be way easier drawing poses and scenes if Chaz had a first hand view of how the clothes would really move and how the light hit them, Jax was loosely based off of Chaz's body type after all. He could be his own model and the comic would go along that much faster.

Chaz sat there looking at the mirror for a while longer before his door opened and he yanked the headband off, but not before his mom saw, "Aww, Chazzy Bear, You look cute in bandannas." Chaz fiddled around with the bandanna. There was that stupid nick name again. "I got an interesting call from the Guard Department today. Seems a couple was admitted to the hospital today, a woman with multiple wounds and a man that suffered a blow to the abdomen," Jess was smiling and Chaz looked around. Chaz hated attention and he hated praise, it made him feel weird, he thought he was jsut being a decent person, "I know you're a shy boy but I am proud of you for standing up for someone. You have a good kind heart, just like your mother. hahah" Jess knew full well Chaz hated being compared to his dad, but was insulted people never compared him to her. In Jess' mind Chaz was the only kid that was like her as even Chaz's temper was something Jess proudly claimed. She pulled Chaz in for a little hug. Chaz felt the heat raising to his face. Even at this age he was still very much a momma's boy, and even though he hates being called Chazzy Bear Jess was always the only person that had no expectations of him and was happy with anything he did. If only she was around more. "Well. I just came in here to warn you. The man that was sent to the hospital has internal bleeding. Due to how dangerous his records make him out to be you are not responsible for his injuries, but your father is not to pleased you went full force, so try not to talk back to him. Just let him rant and we can move on. Oh, and if you like it you can keep that bandanna, I'll never wear it and I think you can take better care of it than the rest of your clothes. Make sure you wear it proudly knowing that you got it from the best woman in your life." Jess got up and flipped her hair dramatically. She walked to the door and sighed, hearing Bloom yelling about no one helping her meant Jess only went in Chaz's room to hide away from her daughter. At least Chaz had the comfort of knowing he's his mom's "Safe" child.

Chaz laid on his bed playing with his new bandanna. For the first time in who knows how long Chaz felt happy, even after his dad attacking his self esteem and a bad day at school. He simply put the bandanna back on and closed his eyes. Before he knew it he was deep asleep. He didn't hear the call to dinner, he didn't hear people checking on him, the day was over, nothing could wake him up.
