Koi is a friendly being who has taken the form of a funny little jester in order to bring laughter and happiness to those who need it.
They aim to turn your nightmares into pleasant dreams by performing for you.
Even in sad times, they try to keep an optimistic view on things.
It may come off as dismissive but they really do care and will give space if needed.
They're very easygoing, usually not questioning absurd things happening and just going with the flow until danger shows up.
They have a lot of patience.
They do not have a spiteful bone in their body, and understands even nightmares and monsters need to eat too.
But Koi does NOT tolerate those who overdo it for fun and not necessity.
Koi seems to have an instinct to protect the innocent.
They prioritize children and child-at-heart characters’ safety above others.

-Water Manipulation-
Koi can bend and control any surrounding water to their whim.
The scale of how much water they can control without strain averages around perhaps a full bathtub's worth of water.
They usually morph the water into small things such as fish, bubbles, animals, and props for their performances.
These things can easily be dispersed if hit hard enough.
If there's no surrounding water to use, Koi can produce some out of their sleeves.
They're also able to liquify and move around the area as if they're submerged under the floor or inside the walls.
They can hold things at both the middle and ends of their sleeves.
Koi is very floaty and appears like they are hovering an inch above ground when they walk.
They can NOT fly.
-Light Manipulation/Illusions-
Koi can use their water manipulation to bend the light a certain way to trick your eyes.
These of course are simply illusions and are in no way solid or real.
But they made you look and that's all that matters.
The less light within an area, the more their illusions are see-through.
-Dream Walking-
Koi can travel among the sleeping people's dreams.
Their destination is unknown, but there's no rush.
They'll definitely take the time to chase away the nightmares on their way.
Backstory:
Koi does not remember their past, nor do they care.

The marking on their back seems to darken whenever they fight against nightmares and other dark entities.
