Description
"Classic Romance"Used graphite pencils HB,4B, 9xxb (for darkest areas) and 2H (for fine details). Blending with tissue, stump and tortillion. I did this one in my Daler Rowney 7"x10" Cachet sketchbook. Completed in about 3.5 hours.

I've just come from Artisan30 and saw your comment, so I came here to have a look/see! WOW I'm impressed, you have a natural ability for portraits and capturing scenes...Well done Sarah! The folds in her dress are realistic, and her hair as well. I like how you've captured "the look" in his eyes, looking at her!

Nice work Sarah. amazed you did all that in 5 hours or less. I think i would be a week? lol. Bet the darks are darker in original work? photos sometimes don't do artwork justice. I can see your a romantic -at- heart? ( Art)

Thank you! The smaller size kept the time to a minimum. This was supposed to just be a "sketch". I never intended it to be very detailed but it kind of took on a life of it's own. Yes, the original drawing IS a little darker. I'm working on setting up the proper lights/lightbox for taking better photos. And yes- I guess you could call me a "romantic realist". Hmmm, I like the sound of that!
