My submission to Rika-Dono's competition . Character belongs to them, I claim nothing.

My interpretation of the setting was insprired by soft fantasy like Howls Moving Castle and studio ghibli type worlds. After her hardships, she finds herself in a world where magic is rare, but commonplace enough that she can live without fear of who she is. Marianne can use her magic to make a living, Household charms and small illusions sell well, and she can live comfortably off of what she makes. She travels, and learns about her world for several years before settling down, and lives happily.

As for her character design, I tried to retain core aspects of her appearance while also showing how her clothes reflect her current life. Inspired by late Victorian era, she has lace and frills, and retains her color scheme while being simpler and more practical for everyday wear.
