so some backstory on this one. I have actually many other gemsonas that I've made using 's gemsona maker but this is the first one that I've actually drawn out! I was inspired by and their Topaz that I had to make my gemsona real; my hope was to collab and fuse them together but i never heard anything from Broohan about a fan fusion so i then created another gem to fuse with her called Citrine (Nicknamed Army).

And then Steven Universe Future introduced Larimar... and i liked their Larimar FAR more than my own, so i had to create a new gem to fuse with Army Citrine so that's when i came up with Opalite; i also came up with a fusion for them: Labradorite.

so, introducing the Gem formally known as Larimar: OPALITE!

Background:
As a member of Blue Diamond's court, Opalite are well respected and sought after for their ability to be a mediator to calm disputes, cool tempers, calm fears and relieve stress; these qualities also make them good counselors and therapists, which our Opalite is.

Opalite was tasked to calm gems in Blue's court from the stresses of court life, as well as those in the other Diamond courts because she was so well-liked and easy to talk to. Like most gems, she lived a sheltered life when it came to the Diamonds mission to conquer Earth and what she knew about the Rebellion lead by Rose Quartz was speculation and whispers.

During a session with a Citrine, she learned to her unbelief about what tortures were brought upon gems that were deemed "defective" and those that were forced into fusion. She was drawn to this Citrine's pain and wanted to help but was also cautious to believe what she was saying and almost thought of reporting her to her Diamond.

She decided against it and looked into it for herself; her fears were confirmed. She felt betrayed by her Diamond and knew she had to do something. She then saw Citrine trying to escape in a pod and decided to follow her to Earth. She found Citrine and told her what she had seen and wanted to fight with her against the injustice of the gem experiments. Citrine then brought Opalite to the one gem who was bold enough to stand against the Diamond Authority: the Leader of the Rebellion, Rose Quartz.

Extra:
She is scared of Seagulls... evil little sky rats...
Like all Gems, she doesn't need to eat or sleep but she does eat occasionally; she loves sushi and mochi.
