In retrospective, I've changed allot since I was 2. (the background is a pop art of me as a baby). I just wanted to make a statement. This is I.Will I change over the years absolutely, but the essence is the same.
The crocodile by my side represents the strength I believe I have.
Moving towards an uncertain future, but with a firm look in the past.

I thought this was a very beautiful and poiniant self portrait it came over to me that you had almost entered into a dialogue with your future self, in a way a visual letter to the you , you, have yet to become but based in the roots of who you are now....am I making any sense here, bet I'm not, but I kinda know what I mean lol, its a lovely self portrait full of visual content and reminds me a little of the dutch old masters style of portraiture, in which they used objects with in to represent emotional context.........I guess I'm trying to say I like it ...

cool idea for a self-portrait. i like the pop art of you in the back, but i think the crocodile is a bit disruptive. i can see what you're saying about the symbolism, but in this particular image i think the piece would work better with your great facial expression here backed by the pop art. the focus would also be on the difference and similarity of you then and you now. cool image either way
