Description "And in the place of lords, Lothric shall have a queen."

Sorry for the long wait, brothers and sisters. Life happened.

A piece created in celebration of achievingΒ Dark Souls II platinum trophy.
The pieces of armor I combined was sort of strange, but I didn't much like theΒ
Throne Watcher bottoms, so I used Ruin Leggings for some reason.

Now I am readier than ever for Dark Souls III.

The Bearer was more prepared than any other Souls protagonist, for sure.

Ha, congratulations on your well earned trophy!
Really awesome artwork as well, I love the background and the flow of the cloth and the crowns. The foreground probably needs a tiny bit more contrast in my opinion, since at the first glance it almost looks a bit like the background.

I already had all achievements for dark souls 2, but recently just managed to finish all the DLC on NG++ - yeees! Those "challenge routes" were probably the most difficult part (Frigid Outskirts *cough cough*), but hell, I even managed to beat them... solo, since somehow no one is around at my soul memory level.

Thanks, OrmIrian!
Now that I think about it, I did just let the walkway rock slip into the foreground
values. I'll try to update it sometime.

You are so hardcore, going around in NG++ and attempting the Old Iron King DLC.
That was hell, almost literally when I had to destroy the Blue Smelter Demon by myself.
Jeez heck. Oh god. I feel your pain regarding soul memory... For the last bits of the game
I had to farm either the Last Giant or the Pursuer because apparently I am too low forΒ
what I have been conquering.

Cheers.

OrmIrian In reply to SaneKyle [2016-03-07 21:19:57 +0000 UTC]

Haha, ok.

Yes, it honestly was like hell sometimes. That blue smelter demon run was horrible indeed, especially since there are even more enemies standing around in NG++... There was an additional giant right before the boss door and an additional really annoying wizard in the same room. Gosh, I hated that "anti roll / get heavy" spell so much. Aand the smelter demon was quite a demon as well, haha. I defeated him through poisoning him actually, since he was weak to toxic. Somehow I really struggled to dodge his sword swings. Found Raime and Sir Alonne actually far more easy, even if the statistic says otherwise (not that I didn't struggle with them, but just less).
Haha, well, I think my soul memory was too big for what I was trying to conquer.. Which is kind of stupid since there is no way to lower your soul memory. At least you could equip the Agape ring, but this was added far too late for me of course. Anyway, I heard they returned to the good, old soul level system for DS3 which is fantastic. Β

SaneKyle In reply to OrmIrian [2016-03-10 01:33:48 +0000 UTC]

The Iron Passage is the single most hassling part of the DLC, perhaps maybe the entire game.
There was never a time I tried to kill every single enemy in that area. Those "astrologists" who
cast that excruciating equip load spell are insane. Just found out they're hexers. That's too
intimidating even for Dark Souls. I'm not sure what other enemy uses high level hexes.

I've always hated the Smelter...I'm usually not alone when I fight the fiery bastard, but when I
am, I constantly have mini heart attacks whenever he tries something. Sir Alonne is my favorite
boss in the entire series. It actually took me awhile to get around fighting him since I found him
quite intimidating. I had a piece pending for him, I'll rework it soon.

Glad that DSIII is bringing back more DSI elements this time around. Good to have Miyazaki back.

OrmIrian In reply to SaneKyle [2016-03-11 23:28:47 +0000 UTC]

Yep, those hexers were a bit over the point indeed. Overall I found those "challenge routes" quite unfunny, it was just a hassle to go through corridors filled with all kind of really annoying enemies.

Yes, Smelter was indeed quite intimidating. I was shaking quite heavily when I finally defeated him - Well, it was a quite awesome feeling to defeat him, but I was happy I got that part behind me and surely wouldn't do it a second time. ^^
Sir Alonne was my favorite boss as well honestly. That room, his armor, his sword, his moves and even his boss music (and his story) was just fantastic. I thought about drawing him as well, but... well, I kind of suck at drawing humans I might give it a try nonetheless, since I will never get better there if I never try it.

Indeed

Sorry for the late reply! Had to make sure school was done. What you said
about the challenge routes are true. I remember feeling dumbfounded after opening
a chest containing...A FREAKING PHARROS MASK.

Same experience when having finally dealt with the Smelter. It took time for me to
process finally beating it. I'm totally not going back for the Smelter anytime soon,
but if Alonne were easier to get to, I would relish another fight. He's an amazing boss.
DSIII needs a great counterpart to his majesty.

Well, it never hurts to use reference!

No problem. ^^
Yep, that freaking pharros mask... It was quite a disappointment. All that torturing for nothing more than a mask which I will never wear... yeah.

I actually managed to smuggle an sir alonne / raime themed knight in my most recent picture. Β Β Pretty much looks like my character in DS2, with some modifications of course.

the crowns especially.
