I think the man is slightly annoyed with the dog because he's sitting at the table, but anyways your stye reminds be a bit of Tim Burton's style. the shadows and the mood of the settings, and also the textures blend in real well.

its basically jsut my pencil sketches that i then take into photoshop and colour/add texture

the lamp is superb.
I love the dog's fork, maybe the guy just told the dog he has to learn to eat like a normal human being if he's going to eat at the table like one.

i hadnt paid much attention to the fork, .. but yeah i quite like it actually, it's a nice ... friendly, round style fork
oh and the lamp is the a photo of the one in my room ... it hangs over my head while i work on every peice i do
