really thought as tutorial!
I just react to the teeth: what about shark-ish!! XD teeth are quite triangular and close to each other, overlaping with many new teeth rows. and teeth have great notches to shred some meat, this is really interesting and a nice option! ^^
great job, anyhow!

Hello lovely,
I've been a fine embroiderer for a number of years. Think 17th century, royalty....if you really want to see, google/image "17thC stumpwork" - that's my specialty. I am moving into more 'textile art' - wanting to create 3 dimensional 'creatures' - based on grotesques in illuminated manuscripts. I'm finding these tutorials absolutely wonderful for guidance for the creature details. Thankyou so much. I really love your sense of humour and lightness as well.

These are wonderful tutorials! I don't know if I ever seen one that explored tongues before.
What are some of the ways someone could do a dragon based off a hummingbird or butterfly?

Just very long a thin tongue?
Have you seen how a wood peckers tongue is set up anatomically? Try google it.
It's tongue goes back in the skull, over the eyes and into the left nose socket (as far as I remember) quite crazy cx
off course you don't have to apply this to a dragon, hehe.
Just a long, thin tongue would do the trick. Perhaps a double tongue?

this is an awesome tutorial, thanks for doing it!
One thing: you say that teeth aren't "evenly placed next to each other or have even shapes"-- you should look at dolphin teeth.
Anyway, that was more to spread info than a criticism, I love your tutorials

can you do something for, scales feathers and fur or the appropriate colors for the living conditions of the dragon???? just like the extra details or something like that?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Flareonandumbreon In reply to SammyTorres [2014-11-27 20:30:08 +0000 UTC]
oh thanks i saw the fur one after i posted the comment. i will have to look for the other two.
what i meant about the colors is that i know some animals have certian colors/paterns to keep predators away, blend in to their surrondings, to attract mates, and stuff like that so i was kindove just wondering what certian paterns and colors i should use-if it matters
