This is the sort of thing I'd hang on my wall.
I'm not sure why.
Just seems like something that would give a house a nice atmosphere.
There's some kind of paceful clarity that comes with minimalism that I love.

Could be just a wall.
But then again, it could be a symbol.

Haha yeah I love it. Could easily do something like a girl dressed in white walking down, with a man dressed in black peering out.

looks very lovely and smooth- it's something you don't see very often in architectural shots in da, it's either hyper!modern smooth, or all grungy, but this is right in between

Great shot, title is very fitting,
I like the use of darkness in the forground tapering off to brightness.
This shot has alot of atmosphere and mood, good work.

I totally agree. It's funny how something as simple as a wall can be so interesting when captured in such a way. I love how empty the doorway feels.

Yeah that's what I am really trying to learn. See shots that are easily ignored because my eye sight isn't cropped like a view finder.

It's funny. During my course my friends would see something interesting and either draw it or comment on how cool it would look as a painting. I would always see things and think "that would be awesome as a photo". I guess it's an insight into our state of mind, cropped eyesight or not.

Hahahaha. Yeah, it's kind of like that with me in museums. I love going to them but I'm just not that into most of the really popular paintings. I can admire something that took great skill at the drop of a hat but ultimately with me, if I don't feel the image I'm not gonna love it. It's usually pretty instantaneous, too.
I think the reason I steered towards photography is because I know I don't have the skills to capture the images in my head exactly how I see them. With photography, I get inspired and can either create the scenario or am able to capture it in the moment, whereas other artforms always fall short of my intentions. It doen't help that I'm such a perfectionist, either.

Yeah you're probably right. I'm a big fan of detail which is probably why I love photography and hate pretty much every other art haha. When Phoebe and I went to the big museum of art down there, I really couldn't appreciate the paintings that seemed half finished, lacking detail. But I adored the old traditional ones because those things must have taken months, even years.
I think if something is lacking detail, it's not capturing or expressing the full power it should be. From botchy painting to photos with blown out contrast where a detailed texture has disappeared into black or white.
So seeing things around that look great, people should be capturing that same feeling accurately. If they do otherwise, I can only appreciate it if it's been done with expression... and proper expression. Hate it when expression sounds like it was made up after the piece was finished lol

Still never read it. I think that's because school tried to make me read it and of course that meant I had to rebel against it.

I understand you... That's happened to me dozens of times. Their "attracting-young-people-to-reading" strategy is so wrong...
