These are some egg ornaments I made in celebration of Easter, and in memorial for my maternal Grandmother, who made ornaments like these.They are made from actual eggs. The yolks and whites are blown out, and then they are painted (except for the last one). After the paint dried, I decorated them with various trims, spangles, and fake flowers.
The Blue one is my favorite, closely followed by the green and purple ones. The gold one took the longest XD The light green one's color is not painted like the other ones, but the natural color of the egg (which my parent's chicken's layed).

Those are really neat! I kind of want to make some like that too. Probably not from real eggs, I'd be afraid to crack them since they're so fragile. Lovely job though, they look really cute. ^_^

I used Acrylic paints. Although watercolor might work as well.

Pretty eggs!
We do things like this for easter in Greek culture! We hard boil eggs and dye them wih food colouring... And you can make patterns on them by wrapping tights around the egg when you dye it ^^ lol
I don't really know why though, it's one of those weird religious traditions...

Have a great Easter as well. I have to admit I love the color of the green egg but the gold one is my favorite! The roses on the top really make it for me. :3
