Just a while ago I adopted lovely magical girl characters from with the long term goal of improving my character design and drawing a one shot magical girl comic by the beginning of next year (gotta finish my current projects 1st). The designs captivated me so much that I couldn't help but sketch a few ideas of the characters.

This is the main protagonist character. But the story I'm starting to imagine will probably not be told from her perspective. I imagine a slightly unkempt girl who seems oddly calm and mature for her age with the look of a foreigner from the west. She attracts everyone's attention in school due to her appearance but other than that she's pretty much average in her academic and sports performance and doesn't really stand out much in other ways. Yet another character will probably become curious about her and eventually uncover why she looks so tired in the morning all the time even though she goes home straight after school ends (which she initially explains that its part of the school rules that every student shouldn't lollygag around the streets and go home immediately).

I'll probably hide some explanations about her magical girl form, but to tease a bit, despite transforming and manifesting cool armor, it looks scratched, dull and worn out - as though it has gone through a lot of damage. The magical staff she uses also strangely doesn't resonate with any shiny magical aura at all. Now I wonder why...

I also sketched some ideas for the magical creature that makes contracts with young ladies, and this time its no cute cuddly fluffy creature but a normal cat LOL. This time the mysterious forces at work are more discreet in order to blend into the public.
