Description
I just really felt like drawing something mermaid-ish xD so I did ^^ there are many askpects I like about this drawing like the highlights and the overall proportions on her and this is definetly one of those drawings I will redo in like 3 years or more, so I can see how much I improved ^^but i still think it's too empty ^^° I wanted it to be like real full of stuff, like alive ^^° also I should've probably looked up reference for the fish and the crab ^^... and the jellyfish too ^^°
also I really should start thinking about the colors I wanna use before I actually color, cause I wanted to make her really bright and ... ya know "mermaid-y" but with the already colorful background that would've been too much, so I gave her more natural colors ^^°
I've I did it different, I'd probably made everything on the ground look kinda bluish and maybe greenish (just like the normal ocean would actually look like ya know?), and then go with her and the fish for the brighter colors ^^° but I dunno xD
I still like the drawing and well I guess that's all that matters ^^

PS: I just really like this WOOSH-kind of hair

There are so many awesome things about this!! xD the friGGIN FLUFFY HAIR.. the awesome details on her tail, and her skin!! i think her skin is actually my favourite part.. i love all the little dots and patches, and all the details.. ^^

And well I can't help it, I just love much fluffy hair... Though imagining that much wet hair on the surface must be... Well quiet heavy xD

Awwr, too bad.. you shouldn't ever not draw what you want to draw just because other people might find it weird.. :T (Plus: that thing with mermaids wearing a kind of bra only exists aince the little mermaid movie, because they wanted it to remain kids friendly xD before that, mermaids were just topless anyway xD)

I know ^^ but i can't really draw nipple stuff so far anyways so this is a good alternative ^^
(It's also in the pirates of the Caribbean so that they have fish thinks (schuppen) over their boobs xD and I really liked it in that movie xD)

This is really good. I love it! You didn't use references for the fish, crab, and jellyfish? But they look so amazing! You didn't need references! And honestly, the natural colors look good for the mermaid really. Makes her seem more realistic I think. Great job
