The British empire still controls India, ocean and much of south-east Asia, it also invaded Norway during a brief war with the Swedish empire in 1951, Great Britain also controls Iceland, which it took in 1953, the royal family is still very much in control over the empire, with the prime minister being used as a puppet.

Europe united after the second world war in order to combat the growing threat of the soviets, despite their overseas territory in northern Africa much of Europe is economically weak, France and Spain have become the richest nations in the Eu and have become rivals with Great Britain.

In the north is the Swedish empire which managed to fend of the Russian invasion during the great northern war, they are currently rivals with Great Britain after the invasion of Norway in 1951.

The circumstances that lead to the collapse of the USSR never happened, as such the Soviet Union continued to be a great superpower well into the 2010’s.

South America is split between the authoritarian the holy Mexican empire and the democratic Republic of south America, the two mega nations have been in a cold war between each other, after the holy Mexican empire failed to invade Brazil.

Africa is Divided among the great powers, the EU control all of northern Africa, west Africa is controlled by NAU, and Great Britain controls the south, in the middle are various Independent African Nations, while Eritrea is controlled by a Islamist fundamentalist Group known as the Islamist republic of Eritrea.

Saudi Arabia has conquered all of the middle east and some of its neighbours, the now United Kingdom of Arabia controls Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Turkey, unfortunately, local ethnicities cause trouble in the kingdom of Arabia, as such it is plagued with civil unrest and terrorism, the United Kingdom of Arabia is also exploited by other nations for their oil, so it isn’t going to be a superpower anytime soon.

China has broken free of the British empire and the Japanese occupation, they have now united much of east Asia, although Japan still has a hold over Korea and Taiwan, The East Asian alliance is now a world superpower that rivals the USSR and the British empire, the empire of Japan on the other hand has formed an alliance with the USSR in retaliation for America’s war crimes during ww2 (the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki never happened in this timeline, instead America sent many civilians to concentration camps, which included people not native to Japan).

Lastly, Bangladesh got its independence from the British empire in 1978, it is now in control of a self-appointed royal family, the country is known for its massive poverty, crime and drug trade, repeated attempts by other nations to invade Bangladesh have failed, as such the country has no foreign relations apart from the islamist republic of Eritrea

NATO and the United Nations does not exist in this timeline, the world is divided between various superpowers all competing to be the top dog on the world stage, the British empire itself is facing a lot of competition from the USSR, North American union, and East Asia alliance. Technology is similar to ours, except planes have not been invented and people instead use airships, similarly cars and trains are powered by diesel, not fuel.

Racial diversity is common in the British empire as slavery has been banned long before ww1, the EU and Japanese empire has also abolished slavery but it is still practised in many parts of the world.
