Description The Rainbow's most cherished daughter left her idyllic life among the clouds to help her beloved friends regain their home. Her power lies in illusions, impossibly realistic creations of light. But she also serves as a source of gaity and happiness amongst the group, her light-hearted ways a great bolster to the others.

Ah, Polychrome. The simplest costume design of them all, made amusingly difficult by using layered gradients to acheve the look I wanted. The costume, I love, but I can see now that her anatomy's all wonky. It's possible that I may come back to her at a later date and fix things. Reference poses from ??

I haven't though about this, but I like it! I like the idea that the Land of Oz is so pure and asexual that you could just have your breasts exposed and no one will think twice.
Love it. Headcanon acceped👍

I love this particular image. Polychrome is my favorite Oz character (to the point that I now have a novel making the rounds with publishers that has her as a central character).

ever notice in The tinwoodsman of Oz, how Polychrome's gown is see through? Your pic seems quite accurate. She sure grew up in design since "Road"

I wonder that the Shaggy Man and woot the Wanderer weren't embarrased by her sheer clothing.

Nobody in Oz is phased by ANYTHING XD Talking plant people? Okay. Wooden Gargoyles? Sure. Jack Pumpkin head? Bring 'im on. A nearly nude fairy child? Why not?

Lol, I guess so.
If i'd just seen a scarecrow, a Tinwoodsman, the Loons of Loonville and Mrs. Yoop, I guess Polychrome's nudity would seem of little concern.

Oh, awesome, you managed to capture the subtle hues of a rainbow while making it easy on the eyes. I'm loving the outfit, even though I'd never have the resolve to wear it myself. (Or at least I'd wear a camisole and shorts under it)

I'm glad you like it :3 Though it was REALLY tempting to make the whole piece a technicolor nightmare XD

I love the clothing. The rainbow affect is really kool.
I guess the body is okay, but I'm a guy and the first thing I looked at was the boobs. LOL

I like the way you used a picture and then drew over it in a way. It' lovely and what you wrote about it is nice the way you did it!How did you get the glowing affect by her hands?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

saesama In reply to nightsparcle [2006-04-09 16:52:20 +0000 UTC]

The glow effect in any of the images was produced by use of the 'overlay' effect in Photoshop's layers. I love that tool. Thanks :3
